Hospital Structure Not In Jeopardy After GPRS Call

Philadelphia Concrete ScanningWhen building an addition to any Hospital, structural integrity is of utmost concern before new, heavy equipment is installed. At the Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg, PA, renovations would ensure just that, requiring GPR to be done before any coring in the elevated slabs. When we got the call, very intricate measures were required in scanning. First of all, since the slab was thick, scans had to be done from the top and from underneath to precisely identify the top and bottom rebar patterns. Then, a sketch was rendered of the rebar paths so exact coring locations could be recorded and finalized. All of this done for one core hole, safety was clearly the main concern. The pictures depict the rebar patterns in the slab from top and below.
