Hatfield’s Ferry Power Station in Masontown, PA recently required the use of ground penetrating radar to locate existing utilities in an area needing to be excavated. Prior to digging, the contractor used GPRS in order mark any possible utilities or obstructions. We not only used GPR to locate the utilities, but also our radio detection equipment to verify if there was any live power running through the area to be trenched. Once located, the findings were clearly marked and reviewed with the contractor before the survey was completed.
Nick Janney is seen above locating utilities. For projects or quotes in Pittsburgh, PA or West Virginia, contact Nick Janney at 412-292-3266, or for the Cleveland/Akron area at 330-352-0145, or by email nick.janney@gp-radar.com, or visit www.gp-radar.com.
