This past month, GPRS worked on the final stages of a bridge project in Hamburg, PA. As the final pieces of the bridge were being put in place, one of the last steps was to ensure that no rebar was struck as pedestrian hand rails were installed into the concrete along the bridge sidewalk. GPRS scanned over 50 locations along the walk, each with 4 small coring locations. GPRS successfully located all rebar within these areas, allowing it to be avoided when coring. Not only was GPRS able to properly locate all the rebar, it was done in an efficient manner, completing the identification of all areas within a day and a half.
