Before saw cutting into an elevated slab in Wilmington, Delaware, the contractor wanted to identify the location of rebar to ensure the reinforcing was adequate. The contractor did want to saw cut through any rebar because it could have compromised the integrity of the structural support of the slab. Therefore, GPRS was called to identify and mark the locations of the rebar. GPRS was able to map out rebar location and efficiently and accurately using ground penetrating radar, which is a safe and effective method for locating reinforcement and conduits in concrete.
