GPRS Identifies Private Utilities Prior To Major Tent Installation

A client was looking to install a large tent for a major event coming up within the next week. This job took place in the Lancaster-Lebanon area. A client was looking to have all private utilities located within the area to avoid any utility strikes during the installation process. This property was used multiple times a week for events, so the work had to be completed on Sunday. The client reached out to Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, who specializes in underground utility locating and was able to come out on Sunday to complete the scope of work. Sam Hart, who covers the Central Pennsylvania area for GPRS, was able to assist the client with this project. GPRS was able to locate multiple underground electrical conduits within the area, as well as a water and sewer line. In the other areas, they were able to locate site lighting, cable lines, and an underground vault related to the sewer line. They also located an underground propane tank which was no longer in use. All utilities were painted on the surface with approximate depths for reference. GPRS performs GPR scanning to locate subsurface utilities and unknowns prior to drilling or excavating.
